I typed this post on an iPhone. I am going to have to get me one of these.

I was amazed to find that when my blog went offline; people actually e-mailed me to ask when it would be back. I discovered more readers in the last few weeks than I was aware of in the last few years. Thanks everybody! I appreciate the kind words and comments.

The reason that I went down was due to the need to switch hosts to someone a little more…. well… sane. If anyone is in need of a good hosting service; I cannot speak well enough of Hostmonster.com! Oh, and if you have the options; stay away from iPowerWeb.

While I was fixing the website I updated the wine list with three new wines. Two reds and a wonderful white Riesling.

This is just a post. Currently I am writing it from with-in the Google Docs & Spreadsheets application. The reason I am trying it out is that it looks like a useful way to add blog posts, that I can publish outside my blog, with a built-in spell checker. So here we go:

I am in the process of incorporating a half a dozen changes to the website.  Most are behind the scenes but a couple of them affect layout and page management.  As such, some elements are not displaying correctly.  Please be patient with me.

Just in case I ever need to write one, here is a simple how-to on writing a letter of resignation.

Because of problems with comment spam and a busted blacklist filter (it is actually so full that I cannot get it to run) I have to disable comments on my blog for a while. We are actively working on switching to another CMS. One that has better blacklist support and is open source. I hope it will be soon enough that I will not need to try and fix the blacklist filter for this old busted-ass version of MT.
